Oman’s Tender Board has awarded development projects and supplementary works worth more than OMR114 million (USD 296 million) during its second meeting of 2026, chaired by Dr. Khamis bin Saif Al Jabri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Tender Board.

Among the largest contracts awarded was the construction of the Mahout Fishing Port, valued at OMR37 million (USD 96.2 million). Other major projects include the provision of catering, food, cleaning, laundry and pest control services for Ministry of Health hospitals and health centres, worth OMR24.5 million (USD 63.7 million), and the completion of the third package of the Sultan Taimur bin Faisal Road, valued at OMR21.7 million (USD 56.5 million).

The Board also approved the design and construction of the Al Jabal Al Abyad Road in North A’Sharqiyah Governorate for OMR13.5 million (USD 35.1 million), along with a dual carriageway linking Sultan Taimur bin Faisal Road and Sultan Qaboos Road in Sohar, North Al Batinah Governorate, valued at OMR8.25 million (USD 21.5 million).

Additional awards include a promotional campaign showcasing Oman during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, worth OMR355,500 (USD 924,000); advanced Microsoft support services valued at OMR282,973 (USD 736,000); intellectual property rights for a language and skills development programme worth OMR127,500 (USD 332,000); and supplementary road works in Dhofar Governorate valued at OMR3.52 million (USD 9.1 million).

The Tender Board further approved additional works for the national authentication and electronic signature infrastructure project, valued at OMR2.1 million (USD 5.5 million), as well as supplementary works for Package Five of the Sultan Taimur bin Faisal Road (Sohar Gateway Road) worth OMR596,961 (USD 1.6 million).

Further approvals included consultancy services for the logistics market study and competitiveness enhancement project valued at OMR588,000 (USD 1.5 million), additional consultancy services for the Takamul national project management and government procurement system worth OMR501,799 (USD 1.3 million), and expanded cleaning services for educational facilities in Dhofar Governorate valued at OMR443,251 (USD 1.15 million).

The Board also sanctioned additional contracts covering warehouse leasing for the Directorate General of Medical Supply (OMR341,061 / USD 887,000), operators and maintenance technicians for Al Massara Hospital in Muscat (OMR162,255 / USD 422,000), leasing examination monitoring devices for two academic years (OMR117,600 / USD 306,000), and consultancy services for the design of the dual carriageway on Al Ansab Road from Falaj Al Sham Roundabout to Nizwa Road (OMR36,357 / USD 95,000).
